Memories are the most cherished non-material things in the world. We often find people being fond of reminiscing either bad or good memories they had. We just couldn’t imagine a world where memories are not kept. Now, we enjoy and share those good old moments through different variations of technology through time. Before, we imagine recording precious moments through painting, sketching or drawing images of people, events, etc. Everyone would then agree that we could not have retrieved our history we learned today. Soon enough, innovation came forth and our creative fellows invented the camera. It started with a very delicate model that needs complex procedure to produce still images of memories.

Time evolves and so as the camera. We can still recall when the portable camera that uses film was invented. Many got hooked to it and enjoyed more recording their treasured memories. Sooner, when cellular phones were widely recognized by people, inventors developed multitasking features which later on we sought as camera phones. The market embraced the intelligent innovations and continued to develop it simultaneously. That’s the birth of digital world of photography.

PHOTOS FOR SOCIAL MEDIA

Traditionally, when people took photos of events, things and people, they basically head to photo houses and have their photo printed. These photos are kept through photo albums, collages, displays, and scrap books. It remained that way for many decades. Just recently, people were introduced to social media. People eventually made shift of keeping memories. The traditional ways became unconventional and inconvenient. Many would now prefer to store the memories online, less hassle and instant. Nowdays, the most popular way to store and share photos online is through media.
Social media, first and foremost, is a sharing engine with registered profiles. Users can simply share their memory in an instant through uploading it to their favourite social networking site. We can always choose to share it to the world or to a set of private contacts. Social media keeps the people to be connected to the world. Social media enable your loved ones to be part of your treasured memories. It also enables you to be part of someone else’s collection of memories.
Photos, therefore, plays an important role in social media. It is the one that keeps the social media alive and keeps it users extremely attached to it. Just imagine social media without photos. Boring..Dull..
